The California Indian Professors Association (CIPA) is a private professional organization of American Indian scholars in higher education who are recognized as members of California Indian tribes. The group seeks to organize those defined above, who teach and conduct professional research and produce non-fiction scholarship about subjects concerning California Indians, past, present and future.
